About Us
What's In A Name
Laurel wreaths have long symbolized success, victory, and high achievement — from triumphs in battle to glory in the sports arena. They also carry an important lesson: celebrate your successes, but never rest on your laurels. That spirit is at the heart of Laurel Ridge Stables, which opened its doors in 2021 as a full-service American Saddlebred training and show facility.
At Laurel Ridge, every horse and rider is treated as an individual. Our training programs are tailored to each horse, drawing on techniques learned from some of the Saddlebred world’s top professionals including the UPHA Tom Moore Hall of Fame trainers Merrill Murray and George Knight. Our riding lessons and camps are designed to help riders of all ages and experience levels grow, gain confidence, and enjoy every step of the journey. By combining thoughtful horse training with encouraging instruction, Laurel Ridge Stables offers an equestrian experience that’s both purposeful and fun. From tiny tots taking their first ride to seasoned riders chasing show goals, there’s a place here for everyone — and we can’t wait to welcome you to the barn.
Meet The Team
Hannah Deviney
Owner/ Trainer
Hannah grew up riding and showing American Saddlebreds, and from an early age, she knew her passion would lead her to a career in horse training. She sought out opportunities to learn from the best in the industry and became an integral part of multiple world and national title-winning teams, sharpening both her training techniques and instructional skills. After successfully running her own program in Lexington, Kentucky, Hannah has brought her experience, knowledge, and love of horses to Laurel Ridge Stables in Rowlett, Texas, where she continues to help riders and horses reach their full potential.
Jordan Kelly
Assistant Trainer/ Lesson Instructor
Jordan is a Plano native who began her equestrian journey through riding lessons and quickly developed a deep appreciation for both horsemanship and horse care. Her passion led her to work at the barn where she learned to ride, eventually progressing into teaching lessons herself. She joined our program in 2024 and has since become an integral part of the operation. Jordan is known for the exceptional care she provides to every horse, with her thoughtful, attentive approach clearly reflecting her genuine love and respect for their well-being. Reliable, dedicated, and kind, she is a trusted presence for both horses and riders.
